Our Shabby Tearoom Challenge this week is to create a project using the colours BLACK, KRAFT AND CREAM/WHITE! The photo suggests a New Year theme but really, it is up to you what you create and remember, it does not have to be shabby!
I am the hostess this week and above is the photo I used...I loved the sepia look...I am really into neutrals.
For my card I used the Paper Sweeties Set called Let It Snow and the Paper Sweeties dies called Homespun Holidays Sweet Cuts! Love that there was a star in the pack! I layered some gold ribbon beneath the star cut outs and I put the whole panel through my crimper. The card is really pretty with the gold peeking through.
I am also entered this card into the following challenges:
Such an amazing year of crafting for me. This year I fulfilled some of the big dreams on my "crafty" bucket list and I conquered some fears too about my crafting. All in all, I loved crafting in 2013!
I have chosen one favourite card for each month of 2013...it was an exciting year with the Gallery Idol contest (that was amazing) and lots of design team work with so many awesome companies!!! I am so thankful for the wonderful opportunities!
I was exploring some Pebbles papers here!
Definitely influenced by Laurel Seabrook!
This was the first Paper Smooches card I made...
I was totally inspired by the sketch and had fun making this card.
Even got an honourable mention...wow, that was so cool!
The card I made to apply for the Paper Issues Design Team call!!!
I was accepted and love my PI team.
Adding some texture in the form of burlap...
created this card for a Paper Issues Challenge.
Trying out for the SRM Stickers team...so happy to be chosen!
My third week in Gallery Idol...we had to use exactly 10 embellishments!
I still cannot believe I made the Top 5!
A Guest Designer for the Shabby Tea Room and using some SRM Stickers.
I created this wedding set for my sister who was married in August.
SRM Stickers to the rescue again with my Merry Monday card!
I applied for the Shabby Tea Room Design Team with this card and
was so thrilled to be chosen!
Creating a Christmas card with my favourite stamps of all time; There She Goes Stamps. I had a secret dream to hopefully be on their design team one day...I loved the team, the stamps by Torico and the challenges. So sad that they have closed their doors.
I was invited to be on the Purple Onion Design Team for the holidays.
I had so much fun using their adorable stamps and colouring.
Playing along with some Fresh Squeezed Stamps;
thrilled to be on their current design team!!
Thank you so all my bloggy friends...I am thrilled to have over 1700 readers and almost 800 followers. Wow, never did I ever think this would happen on my little blog.
I am so thankful to everyone who has encouraged me along the way...on this crafty journey. You have no idea how much I appreciate your support and kindness.
I have some big crafty goals for 2014...and some big personal goals too...I wonder what the year will bring.
Today I am sharing this card at Fresh Squeezed Stamps! This is the time of year a teacher has many special people to thank! I have such awesome volunteers and co-workers who work with me and help me everyday!!! It is nice to create a special card for them.
There is one gal in particular who has gone above and beyond. So I went to work with my favourite stamp sets called Hot, Hot, Hot and Take a Number. I just love the pretty font and the teacup is fun to paper piece!
This is the last week to play along at the Ribbon Carousel Challenge!!! The challenge is Anything Goes!!! I wanted to play with my TAWS (The Alley Way Stamps) and get them inky, so I went in search of a fun sketch and found one at CASE this Sketch.
I wanted to cut into some new designer paper I picked up at a local craft store. It is a boy paper pad but terrific for any kind of birthday card too I think! It is by Echo Park. Love it! I also used some SRM Stickers to create the scalloped edge and for the sentiment! I love my SRM stickers!!!
Merry Christmas to all of my blogging friends! I wish you the best for the New Year!
For the month of January, I will be joining the brand new challenge called Colour Me as a Guest Designer!!! Yippee!
This challenge is going to be a lot of fun and I am giddy over the colours chosen for January!!! I am also so thankful for being asked to joinTara and Hayley on their new adventure! Thank you so much ladies for thinking of me!
Today I am introducing myself over at the Card Concept as a designer! Strange to be doing so!
I have to admit; I did not know where to place myself in the list of styles. I know I like to create cards that are clean & layered but I wanted to have the challenge of creating Classy & Elegant! Here is a project I made earlier in the Fall.
The Classy/Elegant Style can be defined as:
rich colour scheme
Thank you so much for your support and encouragement with this new challenge!! I am excited to see what the team creates in their various styles! They are all fabulous designers and wonderful people.
This week, I am not sharing a card. I have decided to take the week off
but the team has created such beauties to share with you!
Our challenge this week:
