Verve #5 {Peace on Earth} and Sharing my Verve!

I had some time this weekend to play along with Sketch #5 at Verve. I used some Stampin' Up Supplies and went to work, creating a soft and hopefully "frosty" snowflake card!

I played along with all 5 of the Verve Sketches this month...it was a fun challenge!
Here is a recap of my other cards.

Seize the Sketch #7 & The Ribbon Carousel {Just Because Gift Set}

Good morning!!! We have an awesome sketch by Jen Nelson this week at Seize the Sketch!! I loved working with it and I know you will too! I am also sharing this card for the current Ribbon Carousel Fall/Halloween Theme Challenge. Go link up!

This month's theme is Fall anHalloween!

The fabulous Mona Pendleton from My Favorite Things is sponsoring Seize the Sketch #7 and she provided the team with her beautiful stamps and dies. She is also providing this prize for our winner of Sketch #7. Woo-hoo! Just look at what you could win!

I got the opportunity to play with this beautiful set and I created a Fall themed "Just Because Gift Set". I wanted to use some burlap ribbon, some Fall colours and I took a more clean-lined approach to my card this week. It was nice to use some of my designer paper scraps too!

Mona Pendleton Designs products are a fun and versatile collection of stamps, dies and stencils that may be purchased at https://www.mftstamps.com/

Merry Monday #81 {Santa!!!!!}

Welcome to my weekly Christmas card Challenge called "Merry Monday"! Each week, I post a challenge to inspire you to create a Christmas card for your Christmas card stash! This week it is all about the "Big Guy" himself...the Jolly Old Elf...Santa!!!
  1. Each week there will be a brand new challenge posted on Monday at 5am (PST).
  2. Each participant is encouraged to comment on 3 cards in the Gallery. (Who doesn't love comments!)
  3. Neutral colours and any product is welcome.
  4. Have fun!
  5. Follow the weekly challenge closely to complete a Christmas card.
For my card, I dug out a Stampin' Up set I purchased last year and I think I only used it once! Ack! So I inked it up in Cherry Cobbler ink and added a poinsettia made with my 5 petal punch. I kept the design, clean and simple, adding some flags to the base of my card. The sentiment is a SRM sticker of course! A quick and easy card to make. The main panel with Santa is 3"x 4".

This is our final week with Featured Designer, Sandy Mathis! I am in shock, really! I have barely had the chance to connect with her and already she is leaving us. Thank you Sandy for your gorgeous cards and teamwork!! I love your work!

And a special welcome to Kim Singdahlsen, who is joining us as this week's Guest Designer.

Verve Sketch #4 {With Sympathy}

Today I am sharing a card I made last weekend for the Verve Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast Stamper. I loved the pretty sketch and couldn't wait to play!! I dug out some pretty paper from My Mind's Eye.

The paper did all the work and I used a lacy ribbon I had in my stash, I have wanted to use it for a long time but could never find the correct card for it. I am so happy with how it turned out. I hope you like it!

Happy News to Share {Magical Wonder}!

 photo RCCrewwinter2013300.png

Well this has been such an exciting time for me as a designer during this last year and today I am thrilled to announce that I am the newest member of the Ribbon Carousel design team. I cannot tell you how surprised and delighted I was to receive the invite from Corinna. I think the challenges she hosts are a lot of fun and always so inviting!! Also, many of my good stamping pals are on the team, which makes it even more thrilling! Thank you so much, Corinna!

Stamping Supplies
Stamps: Delicate Doilies, Magical Season
Inks: Lucky Limeade (no Old Olive), Cherry Cobbler
Papers: Kraft, White, Cherry Cobbler, Season of Style Pad DSP
Extras: Large Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Burlap Ribbon

Today I want to share a card I made using some Stampin' Up goodies that have not seen ink in such a long time! I was inspired by the colour combo challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers to use Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Sahara Sand. I do not have any Sahara Sand, so I used some burlap ribbon and some kraft paper to "represent" my neutral.
