Day Three of the Verve Stamp Release {Product Review} & the new Viva La Verve Sketch

Welcome back to Day 3 of Verve's May Spotlight Hops!  It's an exciting day as there's new Verve in the store this morning! 2 beautiful new sets, 3 die sets and a sequin mix just released and they're all available to order right now. To celebrate our new release, we're putting on another blog hop!
Today's featured focus is designer's choice, so you might just sneak a peek at a whole bunch of must-haves!

Verve Stamps May 2016 Spotlight Hops

I just had to make a bright and colourful card using these new goodies! The flower in the set is so pretty and fun to colour. These flowers were completely coloured using my Copic makers. I used the flicking technique once again on the blooms.

I used the new stitched banner and an older honeycomb embossing folder! I die cut the little leaves from black card stock and then added some sequins with the twine. I think this is my favourite card from this week's release. I almost shared it on Day 1 but wanted to finish off with my favourite! I hope you like it too!

Want to win some shiny new Verve? Today's prize is a BIG one. We'll be picking a random commenter on one of the hop spots below to win our ENTIRE new release! So be sure to leave a little comment on all the blogs below to increase your chances! Check out the Verve Blog today for the full hop list and all the prize info and deadlines!

I also have a card made for today's Viva la Verve Sketch Challenge! I LOVED using the sketch created by Maureen!

I decided to use an older Christmas sentiment set and to create a Christmas card! I loved the large circle and the clean lines of the sketch!

The sentiment comes from the Verve set called Peace on Earth. One of my favourite Verve sets! I used my Spellbinders poinsettia die and some gold embossing for the sentiment. The side panels of the main card are embossed and then I used various dies to add dimension to my card. I hope you will play along with us! There are two prizes up for grabs this month!

Thank you for stopping by and for your kind and thoughtful comments over the past two days! Please hop along to LauraJane to see what she has created! I wish you a fun-filled and relaxing weekend!

Day Two of the Verve Stamp Release {Everlasting Love}

Verve Stamps May 2016 Spotlight Hops

Welcome back to Day 2 of Verve's May Spotlight Hops!  The Verve Divas and special guests are back for another day of spotlighting our new release! Everything previewed this week will be available to order in the Verve online store on Friday, May 20.

Today we're sharing our first projects featuring the Everlasting Love stamp set, Everlasting Heart Die Set and the Copper Blush Sequn Mix.

I decided to use a technique of multi-layered stamping with distress inks...basically I stamped the heart image in Greens and Blues...then I huffed on the stamp and stamped it onto vanilla paper. I wanted to make a couple of pretty wedding cards. This card came together so quickly that I decided to make one in Pinks and Purples!!

Day One of the Verve Stamps Release Week {Beautiful Things}

Verve Stamps May 2016 Spotlight Hops

A new release is just around the corner and for the next couple of days we'll be shining our creative spotlights on the new Verve sets and dies releasing this Friday, May 20.

Today we're sharing our first projects featuring the Beautiful Things stamp set, Beautiful Flowers Die Set and the Stitched Pennants Die Set. I am in LOVE with these new flowers and the dies! I stamped them in Distress Ink (Abandoned Coral) and then used my water pen to draw some of the colour out of the stamped image. Then after the flowers had dried, I used my Copic marker to add some details to the floral centers. I used some new designer paper I picked up! Couldn't resist the pretty colours and the feminine feel. I added a canvas tag, some ribbon and a doily to create a Freestyle Collage look! I stamped the sentiment in a teal blue colour to add some interest and to freshen the look.
